Accessing the website
When you access the website, your browser transmits technical information to our server, where it is stored in log files: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system. This information is necessary so that the website can be delivered and its operation remains secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted after seven days at the latest.
Cookies, consent and privacy settings
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores. We use cookies and comparable technologies that are not technically necessary only with your consent. On your first visit we ask you about this, broken down into Necessary (stores your choice in the cookie “cc_cookie” for six months and cannot be deselected) and Statistics (Google Analytics). The consent window is part of our website and does not load anything from third parties. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Privacy settings” in the footer of every page; the withdrawal takes effect for the future.
The legal basis for necessary cookies is § 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; for all other cookies, it is your consent pursuant to § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
A further value is stored in your browser’s storage if you switch the display between light and dark or choose a location in the bar at the bottom of the screen – it stays on your device and does not reach us.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). The Tag Manager is only loaded once you have consented to “Statistics”, and it then loads only the tools you have consented to. Without consent, or after “Necessary only”, our website does not establish any connection to Google. The Tag Manager itself does not set any cookies and does not analyse any data. Google’s Consent Mode communicates your choice to the tools. If you withdraw your consent, the page reloads without the deselected services.
When the Tag Manager and the tools are loaded, Google receives your IP address for technical reasons. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Google Analytics
With your consent to “Statistics”, we use Google Analytics 4 by Google to understand how our website is used and to improve it. Google Analytics then sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_…” with a storage period of up to two years.
Examples of what is recorded: the pages you visit, how long you stay and how far you scroll; clicks on phone numbers, e-mail addresses, appointment buttons and the menu, on the websites of our brands, their social media profiles and our reviews on ProvenExpert; stories and frequently asked questions that you open; a change of language; and clicks on job advertisements, of which we only transmit the location and type of job. In addition, loading times and technical errors of the page are recorded, as well as the device, browser, approximate location (derived from the IP address) and the page or campaign through which you came to us.
If you search our website, we transmit the search term you entered without e-mail addresses and longer sequences of digits such as phone numbers; a search that brings up an emergency or crisis notice is not recorded. In the Longevity Finder we record the topic chosen, how you started (for example via a suggested topic or in your own words) and the number of the current question, never your answers or your free text.
For forms and the online booking, we record when you start and submit them and the steps of the booking, in each case without any content. If you choose an appointment, we only transmit how many days ahead it is, the day of the week and the time of day, never the date and time.
We do not transmit names, contact details, message contents or free text to Google Analytics. If you choose a treatment in the online booking, we transmit this information in order to see which services are in demand. Search terms and free text in the address of a page, as well as e-mail addresses, are made unrecognisable before anything is sent to Google Analytics. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Google signals are deactivated. The data is deleted after 14 months.
Without your consent to “Statistics”, Google Analytics does not run: no cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google Analytics.
The legal basis is your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.
Fonts and embedded content
The fonts used are stored on our server. No fonts, maps or videos are loaded from third-party providers; without your consent, visiting this website does not establish any connection to Google or other third parties.
Contacting us
If you write to us or call us, we process your details in order to respond to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete them as soon as the matter has been concluded and no retention periods prevent this.
Links to the brands and to ProvenExpert
This website contains links to the websites of our brands and to the careers portal. As soon as you switch to one of them, the privacy notices of the respective website apply. The references to our reviews on ProvenExpert are also simple links; the rating figures and the quoted reviews are stored as text on our server. A connection to ProvenExpert is only established when you click on such a link.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future; for your cookie choice, you can do so via “Privacy settings” in the footer. Otherwise, please contact us at the address given above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information).
